Recap

Amenadiel tells Lucifer to return to Earth. He says things have changed in heaven; Michael was at God’s right hand, the only one with a direct line to Him. Amenadiel stays in hell for Lucifer.

Lucifer tells Chloe Michael's a liar, but her being a gift from God is the truth. Chloe does not take it well.

Matt Owens, TV showrunner, was murdered. Chloe is reluctant to let Lucifer help her until they realize he knows the victim. His show, Diablo, is based on Lucifer’s life.

Lucifer resumes therapy with Linda. Linda tells him Chloe deserves some time to react, and he should also bring back Amenadiel.

Maze fights Lucifer, but he tells her she could've joined him in hell if she wanted to return.

Diablo and Detective Dancer (stars whose characters are based on Lucifer and Chloe) also investigate the murder until Diablo is killed, too.

Lucifer mocks Dan for his new positivity mentality. Dan knows it may be BS, but it helps him. Lucifer concedes and accepts Dan’s positivity bracelet. In looking at a script, they realize Diablo figured out Dancer was the killer.

Maze asks Linda why she’s worried about going to hell. She instead asks Maze about her abandonment issues. Maze finally opens up about Lucifer, Chloe, and Eve all leaving.

Michael tells Lucifer he planted the idea of the rebellion (and other things) into Lucifer’s head. The two fight and Lucifer scars Michael’s face with a demon blade.

Lucifer tells Chloe he found out Michael has been manipulating him since the dawn of time. Chloe snaps, telling him their situations aren’t the same. She was already dealing with being in love with the devil, and now questions if it was real.

Michael tells Maze there is a secret Lucifer has been keeping from her.

Lucifer

Lucifer: So, you’re telling me that my dickhead twin showed up on Earth, assumed my identity, and then wreaked all sorts of havoc on my life?
Amenadiel: That about covers it, yes.
