While Spencer adjusts to his brutal college-football workout schedule, Olivia starts her paying job at the L.A. Tribune. Spencer finds himself continually late for meetings. Clay tells Layla he's back in L.A. for a while. Patience informs Olivia that Coop is driving her crazy since she's always underfoot. Jamie returns to an indifferent Asher. The coach rips Spencer for making a one-handed catch. Denise drafts Grace to the principal search committee. Patience asks Layla to find something for Coop to do. Grace suggests Billy as interim principal for South Crenshaw. Olivia finds that she's going to be doing grunt work at the Tribune.
