The game changed for good on PLL: The Perfectionists Season 1 Episode 6

With Caitlin in the hospital and a dark figure running rampant around the sewers, no one at BHU is safe.

But is the stalker and Nolan's killer the same person? Everything we thought we knew might have just turned out to be wrong.

Early Bird - PLL: The Perfectionists Season 1 Episode 6

The original suspect is rarely the one who committed the crime, and this situation was no different.

It seemed a bit too convenient that Mason was Nolan's killer. Everything about him being the culprit almost made too much sense.

The Perfectionists was essentially pointing a bright green arrow at Mason and shouting "he did it!" But on Pretty Little Liars the answer is never that easy.

Now or Never - PLL: The Perfectionists Season 1 Episode 6

It wasn't a shocker that Mason turned out to be innocent as well as a relatively decent guy, but Nolan using Mason as his insurance policy was a bit unexpected.

I was Nolan's insurance policy. He pissed off so many people that he wanted to make sure at least one person knew who his enemies were, in case something happened to him.

Mason

At least now we can cross one person off the list of suspects.

However, Dylan, Ava, and Caitlin seem to think that Dana Booker is the one who's harassing them.

Looking at the situation from a different angle may open their eyes up to more possibilities, but it feels unlikely that Dana is actually behind everything that's been going on.

Maybe the person who's doing this to us didn't kill Nolan. Maybe they think that we did.

Dylan

Dana probably isn't perfectly innocent and most likely has her share of secrets like the rest of the characters, but would she want to discover Nolan's murderer so badly that she would hit Caitlin with a car?

Fighting fire with fire, or crime with crime, doesn't seem like the logical way to proceed. But given how little we know about Dana's character, anything is possible.

Dylan and Ava were undoubtfully the scene stealers of PLL: The Perfectionists Season 1 Episode 6

Time is Ticking - PLL: The Perfectionists Season 1 Episode 6

As interesting as Caitlin's character is, Ava and Dylan are by far the most compelling dynamic of the trio.

Ava: You're an optimist.
Dylan: I'm hopeful, yeah.
Ava: Okay, well today I will be too. 'Cause I can't imagine losing somebody else.

The two seem closer than either of them are with Caitlin, and in all honesty, we would watch an entire series about their friendship.

They're a great detective duo, and just a great duo in general. Their personalities mesh well together, and they're the type of friends who can see each other for who they really are.

An Unexpected Connection - PLL: The Perfectionists

Despite everything that went down with Nolan, Ava is still on Dylan's side and is rooting for things to turn around for him and Andrew.

But unfortunatly, that may not be happening anytime soon.

He's never missed a performance of mine before, so he'll show up. I'm sure of it.

Dylan

The fact that Andrew missed Dylan's performance for the first time was heartwarming and heartbreaking.

Always wanting to see Dylan play, says a lot about how much Andrew loves his boyfriend. It was a joy for him, rather than an obligation.

However, we can't blame Andrew for not showing up. As much as we love the two together and love Andrew as a character, we can't fault him for taking some space from Dylan.

If Andrew never wants to see Dylan again, it would be one hundred percent justified.

Andrew was also the one who always got on Dylan's case about his shoulder, and now that it's still bothering him, there's bound to be some unfortunate repercussions from neglecting it.

Ava was an absolute superstar on PLL: The Perfectionists Season 1 Episode 6. Or maybe we should say a flower that's finally bloomed?

Balancing Act - PLL: The Perfectionists Season 1 Episode 6

Her entire internship was riding on her fashion show, so it took some innovative thinking when she and Dylan showed up at the last moment covered in filth from the sewer.

Ava managed to turn it around and use her appearance to her advantage.

Bloom - PLL: The Perfectionists Season 1 Episode 6

What could have been a train wreck turned into a beautiful artistic statement that brought her entire show to the next level.

From the dirt blooms the flower.

Ava

If it were up to us, Ava would be a shoo-in for any position at Vogue.

As usual, PLL: The Perfectionists Season 1 Episode 6 ended on a cliffhanger. Mona has discovered that Taylor's Beacon Guard can track a person's location, so it was startling to see a notification claiming that Nolan Hotchkiss was in Mona's apartment.

The dead never stay that way for long on Pretty Little Liars, so is it possible that Nolan is still alive?

Sadly, we'll have to wait a week to find out.

Stray Thoughts:

  • Mona taking part in the action was great, but it would be more enjoyable if she were part of the group, rather than always being off on her own.
  • Caitlin may have promised to keep her mom's secret, but secrets always have a way of coming out. The only question is, when?
  • Mona and Alison going from arch enemies to a people that they can advise others to trust is a real testament as to how far their relationship has come.
  • Now that Taylor has revealed herself to her mom, what's next? Will she let everyone else know she's alive?
  • Jeremy is still on our list of suspects. What will happen now that Caitlin has told him the truth about everything?
