These two journeys seem to be going in very different directions. 

While Bjorn may have hit a minor snafu on Vikings Season 4 Episode 13, he is back on track. 

Ragnar on the other hand, well, I honestly have no idea what Ragnar is doing. 

Clearly, his crew should have followed their instincts and stayed home. No amount of money could be worth being murdered in your sleep by the man who lured you out there in the first place. 

Ragnar and Ivar are stranded there with no ships and no crew, and so far all we know is Ragnar's plan is to turn himself in.

I really hope he has thought this through and has something up his sleeve, because things are not looking too great for him right now. 

I guess I can see the logic in Ragnar's decision to kill everyone.

There were soldiers searching for them, and they stood a better chance of evading them on their own. Though, the whole turning themselves in at the end kind of defeats the purpose of that, doesn't it? 

That scene was brutal, especially Ivar's obvious joy in murdering basically defenseless people. 

That girl who threw herself at him didn't stand a chance against his blood lust, and I don't think she would have even if he was able to perform. 

Can't say I blame her for trying though. 

If Ragnar really is the eternal wolf, I think it is safe to assume he will get himself out of this mess.

It'll be interesting to see how they eventually manage to get home, and explain how they just happen to be the only survivors. 

Ivar seemed to enjoy being carried and receiving piggy back rides just a little bit too much.

Ragnar is still pretty darn strong for an old man to be able to lug him around all day.

Ivar: I bet you wish you had never brought me along, right? And I bet you wish you would've killed me when I was born, just like you wanted to.
Ragnar: Only when you talk.

Besides the whole father/son massacre thing, Ragnar and Ivar actually shared some nice bonding moments.

It meant everything to Ivar to hear him admit he was wrong about wanting to kill him as a child, and tell him that he sees the greatness in him. 

Rollo must have been bored out of his mind for the last however many years it's been since we've seen him.

All it took was Bjorn showing up with a map and he was ready to abandon his throne, his wife, his kids, and his religion to get the hell out of dodge. 

His wife was not buying that whole speech about still being a Viking at heart and hearing Thor's hammer. She is seriously pissed at him for leaving. 

If Rollo survives the journey, he probably shouldn't bother coming home. 

You had to appreciate Bjorn showing his uncle who's boss by throwing him overboard just long enough to scare the crap out of him.

I wonder if Rollo is already regretting his decision to tag along. 

Astrid: Two sons of Ragnar Lothbrok, how privileged we are.
Sigurd: If you say so.
Astrid: How many of you are there all together?
Sigurd: Can't say for sure.
Lagertha: I know of one for sure.

Thanks to Lagertha, we got our first big fight scene of the second half of the season.

It got off to a good start, but it looks like we will have to wait to see if she wins back her throne. 

Queen Aslaug isn't going to give it up easily, and this could get very interesting. 

Ubbe and Sigurd aren't going to stay locked up forever, and the rest of the clan will be back eventually, so I'm not sure how she plans to hold onto it even if she wins. 

It was pretty funny how easy it was for Lagertha to incapacitate Ubbe and Sigurd. Margrethe is proving to have a bigger role than I expected. 

I wonder if she'll be sticking around all season.
