While Nathan teaches Jack to ride Pal, Elizabeth realizes Jack is growing up. Allie storms home fakes a smile for Jack and enters her house. Elizabeth thinks they need to let Allie work through this, so she's supporting them from the background.

Lucas tells Henry he's nervous about taking Jeanette's bid, and Henry reminds him that everything comes with a price.

As Rosemary plays with Goldie, Bill arrives. Lee leaves the two to chat. Bill wants her help and reminds her that while Montague wasn't the culprit, someone shot Lucas. Rosemary thinks it was someone who knew it would be easy to frame Montague.

Allie confides in Angela that she's taking the afternoon train to the prison, and she requested a visit with Dylan Parks. Angela is concerned and thinks she should tell Nathan. Angela insists on giving Allie some money.

Nathan brings Elizabeth some books for book inventory day. They get caught in an intimate moment as he helps her open a window right before the children arrive.

Minnie and Joseph are watching Lily. Faith comes downstairs, asking if Lily wants to take her stuffed dog to daycare, but Lily wants to go to work and spend the day with Faith. Joseph tells her to cherish that time.

Nathan gets a call from Grandville prison that Allie requested to see a prisoner.

Jeanette arrives, having heard about Montague's attack. When she threatens to withdraw her money, and Lucas stops her, she realizes she's his last hope.

Maisy interrupts Mike and Mei's coffee date by complaining about the violence. She then informs them that their mom is arriving the next day to meet Mei, and Mei should cook dinner.

Nathan rushes into the school, and they get Angela to tell them that Allie took a train to the prison to meet Dylan. Nathan and Elizabeth rush out, with Nathan admitting that Dylan refused to see Allie.

They missed the train and sat down to wait. Nathan is worried, and Elizabeth knows knowing the truth would crush Allie. She holds Nathan's hand, reassuring him that they'll help Allie get through it.

Jeanette starts pressuring Lucas when the bid will become official as they run into Lee and Bill. Once in his office, Lucas begins to remember more details about the shooting.

Lily and Faith are having ice cream at the pharmacy. Ned drops off supplies and wonders why they all look sad. Lily is happy about her grandma but is sad to leave Faith. Faith reassures her that she loves her.

Allie arrives at the prison. The guard is reluctant to help her but calls inside with her request.

Lee and Maisy are concerned about the secrecy and violence at the resort. Lee tells Lucas that he and Maisy are withdrawing their support.

When Nathan arrives, Allie is crying on a bench. He's relieved she's safe as she sobs that she should have listened.

Mei is stressed about cooking for Mike's family since she wants them to like her. This feeling heightens when she learns all of Mike's sisters are coming.

Nathan and Allie talk about Dylan. Nathan reassures her that Dylan is a fool for not meeting her since he couldn't imagine his life without her.

Lots of people see Lee and Maisy's statement in the paper. When Lucas sees it, he loses it and rips it up. He remembers more the night of the shooting and remembers seeing Jeanette there.

He confronts her, learns Cashimer Shaw was threatening her, and that he's backing her bid for the resort. He's a dangerous criminal.

Florence and Molly look sad that Lily is leaving as Mrs. Watson arrives. Lily hugs her grandmother as she excitedly tells her about new friends, getting her hair done, and eating ice cream. Mrs. Watson sees how happy Lily is.

When Faith asks if Lily can visit her sometimes, Lily begins crying, saying she wants to live with Faith. Mrs. Watson asks Lily to find her glasses so she and Faith can discuss things. She decides it would be best if Lily stayed with Faith, and they make a standing Sunday Supper date.

Lucas meets with several people, thanks Lee for the warning, and apologizes to Rosemary. He knows who his friends are. He's canceling the resort.

In private, he and Henry tell Bill and Nathan about Cashimer Shaw, but he wants to keep things quiet for Jeanette's sake.

The Hickams arrive for dinner. Mike's mom is warm with Mei, and dinner is a success. Nathan, Elizabeth, and the kids also share a family dinner.

Lucas and Jeanette go to the edge of town, and he tells her he has canceled the resort. He needs her to leave and find someplace safe. She wanted to help him, but he left.
