Recap

Mariah, Logan, Bridget, and Hayden go grocery shopping, preparing for a trip to Niagara Falls. Hayden  tells them that it was a place he had always hoped to go with his mother. Bridget is happy to get out of town due to all the 4400 publicity. Logan and Bridget disagree about including Shanice in Mariah's life.

Carla and Bill discuss the upcoming "Welcome the 4400" event, which will include an interview with local television personality Gladys Keller. Bill says he has someone to add, but he must be vetted first. Carla notices that Jharrel doesn't like Bill. Carla insists that the event will be a positive way to show the world that the 4400 are not to be feared -- and that they should showcase the Kaminski family as an example.

Shanice chats with the Rev, who is preparing for an interview with Keller. Shanice calls Rev out, citing the conservatorship contract. Shanice insists that Bill is using the Rev to take away rights from the other 4400. Shanice tells the Rev that the government knows about their powers.

Late at night, Logan boxes. Bridget confronts him, urging him not to regress to the state he was in when he had to process Shanice's disappearance.

FLASHBACK: Bridget, Mariah, and Logan play cards and talk about their first post-pandemic trip -- Niagara Falls. The doorbell rings and Mariah goes to answer the door. It's Shanice, and we see it from Logan and Mariah's side.

Andre and Shanice enjoy some time together, holding hands, sad that they both have to leave the hotel. Andre tells Shanice that he has signed the contract, saying it was before they knew how restrictive the contracts were. He says he wants to stay to help the other 4400. Logan shows up with some paperwork from Mariah's school so that Shanice can sign it. Andre offers a pen.

Carla and Jharrel approach Shanice, asking her if it would be alright if she appeared with the Kaminskis in an interview. They ask her to convince Logan as well. Carla leaves, and Shanice expresses her concern to Jharrel. Jharrel is also nervous but stresses that Carla knows what she's doing.

Andre chats on the phone with LaDonna. As he bids her goodbye, he approaches Jharrel and asks for more of Manny's books. Andre tells Jharrel about the torn page in one of Manny's books. Jharrel tells Andre they can go to Claudette's apartment to go through Manny's books.

Logan looks at Shanice's "goodbye" letter.

FLASHBACK: Mrs. Grover puts baby Mariah to sleep. She tells Logan that she wants to help, but she's too old to raise a baby. She tells him to get therapy or figure out some way to move on for the sake of his daughter.

Keisha shares with a grief support group about moving on from her sister's death five years ago. She talks about breaking up with Jessica and rebounding with Soraya. Logan joins, re-introducing himself to the group. He says he's been away a while. Logan talks about Shanice and how she disappeared, then the police found her letter saying she wanted to leave. He tells them that then she came back. The grief group turns on him immediately, saying he got what they wanted, that the 4400 are a conspiracy, etc.

As he leaves the group, Logan gets a phone call from Shanice. She invites him to be a part of the event -- along with Mariah, Hayden, and Bridget. He says he'll think about it, but it's a lot for him to process. Keisha approaches Logan, and he catches her up. He is happy about Hayden, but it's harder with Shanice. Keisha notes the love with which he spoke of Shanice. Keisha tells Logan about her sister and why the group is jealous of him.

At Claudette's apartment (formerly Manny's), Andre notes that Jharrel seems very at home. Jharrel tells Andre how he and Claudette hooked up and are 'enjoying vibes." Andre shares that he and Shanice have been doing the same. Andre asks for advice, and Jharrel asks if Andre can handle the Logan situation. Andre finds the missing page he was searching for, and they hope their search will lead to answers.

At the event, Andre checks in with Shanice. Logan hasn't responded to her request. Andre asks Shanice out for a drink after.

Bill Green enters, and Andre recognizes the man with him as a patient from Ypsi Med -- the man of fire.

Shanice approaches Jharrel and Keisha, telling them about Bill Green's fire man from Ypsi Med. Shanice thinks Bill is trying to expose their powers in order to trigger the conservatorships.

Shanice asks the Rev why the man of fire is here. The Rev insists he's trying to do right by the 4400.

Jharrel and Keisha find Fire Man alone. Fire Man shows them his fire, telling them that the government told him they'd free him from Ypsi Med if he revealed his powers on television. Keisha and Jharrel ask him to trust them. He says he wants all the 4400 to be free.

Gladys Keller interviews the Reverend -- live and unedited. The Reverend insists that the 4400 are humans just like everyone else, and they don't know how they got here. Gladys asks why they are under the government's protection. The Reverend says the government is doing right by a vulnerable population.

Logan, Mariah, Bridget, and Hayden arrive and are directed to Shanice. Shanice thanks them for coming. Mariah, Hayden, and Bridget go to get their mics on. Logan asks Shanice if they can talk privately.

Alone in a hotel room, Shanice tells Logan that she thought he didn't want anything to do with her. She asks if she's being unfaithful. Logan says that he was -- Shanice was the first woman he ever really loved, and he was broken when she left. She asks if he wants to try again. Logan realizes they can't go back to the way they were. Their second chance was for closure. Logan says he needs a clean break and needs to commit to his family. He says he still wants her in Mariah's life, even if he can't be part of it. Shanice grabs his arm as he leaves and sees his memory of getting her "goodbye" letter. Shanice lets him go and takes off her wedding ring.

Gladys interviews Logan, Bridget, Mariah, and Hayden, without Shanice.

Shanice talks to the Reverend. The Rev assures her that it was hubris on his part regarding the contracts. He sees his error now. He doesn't want any harm to come to the 4400.

Gladys asks Logan about Shanice. He says he is thankful to have closure with his ex-wife.

Bill searches for Fire Man, but cannot find him. Mildred shows up in Bill's office.

Gladys asks Hayden if he is happy with the Kaminskis, which he confirms.

Mildred threatens Bill. Bill mentions Midred's sister.

Gladys remarks that Hayden could be a "4400 heartthrob." Mariah says he's taken but quickly clarifies that his girlfriend is another 4400.

The Reverend arrives in Bill's office. Using her powers, Mildred throws Bill out his window, and he lands in between Gladys and the Kaminskis. The Reverend tries to stop her. He manages to pull her back before she can smash Bill's head in. Everyone at the scene panics, screaming and running. Mildred proclaims from the broken window that he kept her as a prisoner.

Mildred tries to use her powers on the Reverend, but they don't seem to work. The Reverend tells her to run -- she must not let them catch her.

Everyone starts evacuating the hotel. Logan grabs Keisha, trying to find Hayden. He asks Keisha if she knew about the powers. She confirms that she did. He asks about Hayden's powers, and Keisha says Logan will have to let Hayden tell him.

Hayden is hiding in a hotel room, looking at the video of Mildred yelling out the window. Logan comes in, saying he's not mad at Hayden -- he's just a kid going through something difficult. Hayden thinks Mildred's behavior is all his fault. Logan comforts him and asks him to come home. Hayden asks if Logan is afraid of his powers. Logan tells Hayden that he knows he wouldn't hurt them.

Andre has set up the old hotel bar up beautifully. Shanice tells him all about what happened -- Mildred throwing Bill out the window and their powers now being public knowledge. Andre asks her to dance, saying they will face it all tomorrow.
