The Rookie is not the hit ABC was looking for.
The freshman drama starring Nathan Fillion returned to the air on Tuesday night and slipped to a new series low.
With a 0.6 rating in the demo, it could only settle for last place in the 10 PM slot.
The show also hit a new low in total viewers with 3.6 million viewers tuning in.
Fillion has a lot of support at ABC, but the chances of this show scoring a sophomore run are diminishing by the weeks.
Elsewhere on ABC, American Housewife (4.3 million/0.9 rating) gained a tenth, The Kids Are Alright (3.2 million/0.7 rating) lost one, while Blackish (3.1 million/0.8 rating) and Splitting Up Together (2.6 million/0.6 rating) were steady.
Over on CBS, there was no Ziva boost in the demo for NCIS (13.2 million/1.3 rating) which was right on par with its most recent results. In total viewers, the show built to a season high.
NCIS: New Orleans (7.2 million/0.8 rating) was also steady.
FBI (9.4 million/1.0 rating) was up two-tenths vs. its last original.
Lethal Weapon (3.2 million/0.7 rating) and The Gifted (1.6 million/0.5 rating) were steady with their most recent originals.
Over on NBC, This Is Us (7.3 million/1.7 rating) went low, while Ellen's Game of Games (6 million/1.5 rating) and New Amsterdam (5.8 million/1.0 rating) were right on par with their recent ratings.
The Flash (1.7 million/0.6 rating) and Roswell (1.1 million/0.3 rating), New Mexico were each down a tenth.
