TV Ratings Report: Manifest Flies High

The second night of the fall season brought some big surprises in the ratings.
Manifest, which has garnered tepid reviews pulled in 10.3 million viewers and a 2.2 rating among adults 18-49.
It marked NBC's highest-rated drama launch in two years since This Is Us.
The biggest surprise is that it managed to build out of The Voice. NBC typically uses it to launch a new drama in the fall.
The singing competition returned for Season 15 with 9.6 million viewers and a 2.0 rating among adults 18-49.
That marked erosion of 23 percent year-to-year in the demo.
Over on CBS, The Big Bang took a hit year-to-year. The final season launched with 12.7 million viewers and a 2.4 rating.
After that, Young Sheldon secured 10.6 million viewers and a 1.7 rating.
The highly anticipated reboot of Magnum PI turned in mediocre results given the lead-in. It had 8.1 million viewers and a 1.2 rating.
Bull moved to Mondays with 7.9 million viewers and a 0.9 rating. It was down considerably from its Tuesday perch.
Over on Fox, The Resident returned to 4.9 million viewers and a 1.1 rating, tying its best Monday outing yet.
9-1-1 took a hit from Sunday's high-flying debut. It slipped to 6.6 million viewers and a 1.6 rating.
Dancing with the Stars returned down 30 percent in the demo vs. its 2017 opener. It had 8.1 million viewers and a 1.1 rating.
The bad news continued for The Good Doctor which matched its smallest audience yet. It had 7.8 million viewers and a 1.4 rating.
