The CW Fall Schedule: What's on the Move?

at .  Updated at .

The CW is the final major broadcast network to unveil its fall 2018 schedule, and there are some big changes.

As previously reported the network will be programming Sunday nights, and the highly anticipated Charmed reboot has landed the 9/8c slot on the night.

It will lead out of Supergirl, which is moving from Monday nights. Charmed is probably The CW's only chance at bringing some viewers to the night.

World Killer - Supergirl

Meanwhile, Mondays will consist of DC's Legends of Tomorrow and Arrow. Arrow is making a move from Thursdays to the night, and I'm not so sure it's going to be able to compete.

Tuesdays will stable, with The Flash and Black Lightning. Both shows performed decently together in early 2018, so it makes sense to keep them together.

Riverdale will remain on Wednesdays at 8/7c and will be paired with the highly compatible All American. The big question will be whether Riverdale can get another bump in linear viewing when it returns in the fall.

The biggest shocker of the schedule is that The Originals spinoff Legacies is debuting in the fall. The new drama fronted by Matt Davis and Danielle Rose Russell will premiere out of Supernatural.

On Friday nights, Dynasty and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend will air together, and it's unsurprising considering both shows have been struggling in the ratings.

“It is such an exciting time at The CW. We are thriving, innovating, and now we’re expanding, adding Sunday nights to our primetime lineup this fall. Starting in October, we will have 12 hours of original scripted series on our schedule – more than any other broadcast network besides CBS,” said Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW.

“And we have five bold, brash new shows for 2018-19: in the fall, a new version of the beloved fan favorite series CHARMED; the inspiring drama ALL AMERICAN; and LEGACIES, set in the world of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and ‘The Originals’; and for midseason, the unique new drama IN THE DARK; and the epic romance ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO."

"The CW is bigger, and better than ever before, with more quality content and more ways for advertisers to connect with our valuable young audience, on every platform.”

All told, have a look at the full schedule below.

As usual, The 100 and iZombie will launch at midseason, while Jane the Virgin has for the first time missed out on a slot on the fall schedule.

New series Roswell: New Mexico and In the Dark have also been held for midseason, which means there are likely to be a lot of short orders on The CW schedule.

What is a "Chock'lit Shoppe" and why does it sell burgers?!

Veronica

Our story is about a town; a small town and the people who live in the town. From a distance, it presents itself like so many other small towns all over the world...safe, decent, innocent. Get closer though and you start seeing the shadows underneath. The name of our town is "Riverdale".
