Gilmore Girls Update: Who's New? Who's Returning?

at .  Updated at .

We have a couple exciting casting updates regarding the Gilmore Girls reboot that really is coming to Netflix.

First, Sutton Foster (Bunheads) has been cast as a new character who will head to Stars Hollow. We don’t know anything about the character she’ll be portraying, but let’s hope she sings and/or dances.

Foster is the first actor or actress to join the Gilmore Girls revival who didn't have a part in the original series.

Second, Netflix has confirmed that Milo Ventimiglia will reprise his role as Jess on the reboot.

The beloved former Heroes star joined the Gilmore Girls cast in Season 2 as the second of Rory's three great love interests.

We also know that Matt Czuchry) will be back as Logan Huntzberger.

With production on the four new episodes kicking off last week, these actors join returning favorites such as:

Liza Weil (Paris), Yanic Truesdale (Michel), Scott Patterson (Luke), Kelly Bishop (Emily), Keiko Agena (Lane) and Sean Gunn (Kirk).

There's still waiting to hear whether or not Melissa McCarthy will make a cameo or if Jared Padalecki has time in his very busy Supernatural schedule to turn Rory's love triangle into a square as her first love, Dean.

(UPDATE: Padalecki is in!)
