Sleepy Hollow Renewed for Season 3!

at .

For those of you praying to Moloch for the renewal of Sleepy Hollow, you've been heard.

Fox has weighed in a little early with the news Sleepy Hollow Season 3, comprised of 18 episodes, is on the way. Renewal not only hinged on the struggling ratings and correcting the creativity that stumbled somewhat during Sleepy Hollow Season 2, but on finding a new showrunner after the departure of Mark Goffman.

The green light was given along with word that Clifton Campbell, series creator of The Glades, has joined the series as Executive Producer and showrunner for season 3.

The Spell Book - Sleepy Hollow

"Sleepy is truly inventive television. The talented producers – led by Alex, Bob, Len and Heather – along with the brilliant cast, anchored by Nicole and Tom, have created a fantastic world that brings ‘history’ to life with compelling and vibrant storytelling," said David Madden, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company.

In the Sleepy Hollow Season 2 finale, good triumphed over evil when Ichabod killed his wife, Katrina. With evil seemingly at bay, the third season will explore how the partnership between Ichabod and Abbie will evolve and what challenges these two witnesses will now face.

The word is they're also going to veer away from the more serialized storytelling and back toward a somewhat procedural format to make give Sleepy Hollow the fun feel it had during the very successful Sleepy Hollow Season 1.

We know how happy this makes you, Sleepy Hollow Fanatics, so start imagining what's coming your way now!!

Sleepy Hollow Quotes

Abbie: Who is he? When's the last time you saw him?
Ichabod: When I cut off his head.

Police Detective: Do you admit to cutting off his head, yes or no?
Ichabod: Nooo. First I shot him, then he rose back up. Cutting off his head seemed the next logical step.
