Though it did not tank in the ratings nearly as badly as the season premieres of The Vampire Diaries and Reign last week, The Originals Season 2 Episode 1 only opened to a .7 rating among 18-49-year olds last night.
That's a drop from last October's 1.0 for the show's series premiere. Overall, 1.35 million people tuned in to see Klaus regain his murderous mojo.
ELSEWHERE across the dial…
- On CBS, The Big Bang Theory Season 8 Episode 4 brought in 15.4 million viewers and earned 4.4 demographic rating, decreasing 6 and 8 percent, respectively; Scorpion (11.8 million/2.5) fell by nearly 20 percent among young adults; and NCIS: Los Angeles (8.6 million/1.6) was down a bit from last Monday's opener.
- On Fox, Sleepy Hollow held steady across the board, while Gotham Season 1 Episode 3 (6.3 million/2.5) lost 16 percent of its total audience from last week.
- On NBC, The Voice (12.3 million/3.6) fell 5 and 10 percent, respectively; and The Blacklist (10.1 million/2.7) was mostly even with last week.
- On ABC, Dancing With the Stars held firm; while Castle Season 7 Episode 2 (9.7 million/1.9) fell 10 and 14 percent in those fields.
