ABC has given viewers a reason to sing with joy:
Nashville has been renewed for a third season!
Fans were concerned after the country music-based drama was not included among the initial round of renewals announced by ABC on Thursday night.
But insiders say there was simply contention over the number of episodes that would comprise Season 3.
In the end, the Connie Britton-fronted series will air 22 new installments in 2014-2015, joining the following returning shows on the ABC schedule:
