A pair of TV Fanatic favorites have reportedly been picked up by NBC.
Sources tell TV Line that both Chuck and Parenthood will return next season, the former with a 13-episode order and the latter with a 22-episode pick-up. This is tremendous news, as it's comforting to know the "Cliffhanger" in the Chuck season finale title won't apply to that show's status for 2011-2012.
Among new shows also picked up by NBC:
- Smash, a Steven Spielberg-produced musical drama that stars Debra Messing.
- Sitcoms that feature Whitney Cummings, Christina Applegate and Will Arnett.
- A remake of the British drama Prime Suspect starring Maria Bello.
UPDATE: Harry's Law has also been renewed.
